Questions
Is Durango Code free?
Yes. The app is free and open source under the MIT license. Each agent runs on its own plan, such as your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, so you pay those providers directly and Durango adds no markup.
Do I need API keys?
No. Durango Code drives each agent's own command-line tool and uses that tool's sign-in, so Claude Code uses your Claude plan, Codex your ChatGPT plan, and so on.
Which coding agents does it support?
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok, Kimi Code and OpenCode, among others, with every model each of them offers in one model picker. You can switch models in a thread and set reasoning effort per message.
Can I run several agents at once?
Yes. Threads run in parallel, and split view shows up to six of them side by side. Any thread can also spawn subagents on other providers, so a Claude thread can hand parts of a task to Codex, Grok or Cursor and watch them work.
Which platforms does it run on?
macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows and Linux (a .deb package and durango-code-bin on the AUR). It updates itself automatically.
Is Durango Code open source?
Yes. The source is on GitHub at Complexia/durango-code under the MIT license.
Do I need a Durango account?
No, not to run agents. Signing in adds Durango Cloud repositories and deploys, memory shared with Durango Chat, tasks, and remote control of your other machines.
How is it different from Cursor, Conductor or the Codex app?
